R4-04 Decision log
Supports slide 26.
Slide 26 walks one decision and lists six more. This is the record behind each one: the date, what the evidence said, and the rule it came from.
| Decision | Date on slide | What the record shows | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pass on the RegGenome JV stake; take a content partnership | Sep to Dec 2025 | Full file in R4-07. | Hold positions, don’t run them |
| Kill DeepFeedback | 13 Jan 2026 | 13 Jan: the partners’ “no revenue” message. 22 Jan: I offered to take it over. 11 Feb: “I think all of these survey tools are dead.” 20 Feb: I agreed to a wrap-up plan. 26 Feb: the partners disabled the app and began dissolving the entity. | Kill on evidence |
| Report zero; exclude $48K of preview-environment events; then correct the zero | 12 Aug, corrected 17 Oct 2026 | Sprint 12 data audit: 94 subscription_paid events (about $48K), all deploy_environment="preview", excluded. Stripe made the single source of truth 12 Aug. Corrected 17 Oct when the Stripe invoice table showed Sullivan’s May payment. |
Provenance over averaging |
| Bundle API and MCP on Strike Graph’s evidence | Sep 2026 | 24 Sep: after Micah Spieler’s note that customers pushed back on paying for MCP, “For now, we’ll just bundle API and MCP together.” | Partners carry us |
| Kill or scale outbound at a written gate; called early | 26 Aug 2026 | The Founder OS gate was set for 7 to 11 Sep. On 26 Aug I brought it forward, promoted partner distribution and demoted outbound. | Kill on evidence |
| Label derived mappings as ours | 30 Sep 2026 | The asserted/derived split was live by 12 Aug: what we compose sits in a disclosure labelled “derived by us, not asserted by any source,” and publisher weight is never averaged with our confidence score. | Provenance over averaging |
| End three vendor relationships; bring engineering in-house | Feb to Sep 2026 | KingdomKode: terminated 23 Feb. Edify: SOW closed 4 May, then “no more external teams for core projects” (5 May). QBatch: wound down; final invoice approved 28 Sep. | No external team owns core work |
Where did the $48K come from?
Test checkouts in our preview deployments. All 94 events carried deploy_environment="preview". None was a real customer, so none was revenue.
Not yet evidenced: DeepFeedback killed on 13 Jan. The record puts the decision between 11 and 20 Feb. The economy of force audits (R4-05) still listed its formal shelving as open on 15 Apr and 15 May.
Not yet evidenced: a 30 Sep date for labelling derived mappings. The earliest record I have is 12 to 14 Aug 2026.
